About Chris Kauzlarich

I am an author and freelancer, creating stories and pushing forward my passion for spending my life working with the written word. I have been writing since my high school days to adulthood, moved over the years by my peers and the prose of the greats.

My desire to become a published author didn’t hit its peak until my mid-to-late twenties when I was managing a Barnes & Noble. Not trying to sound like a cliche–the bookseller dreaming of being a writer–I worked on my lunch breaks to craft short stories and to study up on the publishing industry. Organizing book signings, helping process inventory to better understand the distribution lines, and studying up on the writers market in the reference section, all gave me the insight of how to plan a journey up the mountain to being published. Then came the fun part: writing.

Besides writing (and reading a lot) I spend my time being a dad to a beautiful little human that is growing too fast (along with parenting a few pet animals), a husband, and an avid traveler to the wilderness. I graduated from Purdue University and I live near Chicago, IL.
